"Hopscotch" children’s event

“Hopscotch” was a children’s event organized by the Romanian Literature Museum in Iasi. To maximize its effect on children and capture their full attention, we installed 3 custom-made multimedia systems, including an augmented reality app – “Magic Fairy Tales”, a multi-touch puzzle game and an interactive application based on Kinect sensor.

As far as discoveries go, we also encouraged the kids to get to find rare items that used to belong to Mihai Eminescu, by solving two puzzles on a multi-touch screen and interact with 3D virtual animated elements that took the form of alphabet letters using Kinect.

The “Magic Fairy Tales” app was created to be a gate into a fairy tale animated world, which allowed children to let their imagination run free and bring stories to life. The application projected and overlapped the child over a magical virtual frame, in real time.
