ABBOTT INTERACTIVE PHOTO BOOTH
Kinect background removal
Abbott Diabetes care wanted a different way to engage their customers, so we created an Augmented Reality photo experience that put a real person over a virtual frame, by real time cutting and overlapping. The consumers would see themselves on a screen, projected into a virtual environment, and pose for a candid photo.
Moving their hand would trigger interaction with the application, via Kinect technology. The photos previously taken were displayed in a constantly updated gallery that ran when no one was in front of the screen. And another fun part was the possibility to send the photos by e-mail, upload on social networks or instantly print.
