RACE GAME SIMULATOR
Lilly Diabetes
Although diabetes is not at all fun, driving to stop it was an engaging experience for the people who dropped by Lilly Diabetes’ stand. With stunning graphics and a forced feedback steering wheel, participants learned about the dangers of diabetes in an actual race against it!
The game worked with obstacles that increased or decreased the glucose level, always displayed on screen, which had to be kept between 70 and 180 mg/dl. When the glucose level was low, the car moved chaotically; dropping under 70 mg/dl or exceeding 180 mg/dl would disable the driver’s wheel control. With boosters on the way, the user’s purpose was to keep his/her glucose level balanced and get as many points as possible, while finishing the race first!

Details
During race obstacles that can increase or decrease the level of glucose will appear. The screen always displays glucose levels that must be maintained between 70 and 180 mg / dl.
When the level of glucose is low, the car will move chaotic. If blood sugar drops below 70 the pilot will not be able to control the wheel. The same thing happens if blood glucose exceeds 180.
The player receives points if he manages to maintain glucose levels balanced (90-130). Finally, if he manages to finish the race in the given time, his score will be displayed along with scores of other participants.
